How Can Sinus Infection In A 10 Year Old Boy be Treated?
My ten year old son was diagnosed with a sinus infection about ten days ago ( will finish antibiotics tomorrow), & no longer has a fever, but is still congested with runny nose . He is falling asleep right after dinner , is generally not feeling very well. I expected him to be more fully recovered by now . Do you have any ideas? Is this still within an expected course of recovery or is something else going on?

Antibiotics do cause some weakness due to B Complex depletion (by destroying normal intestinal flora.)plus the disease process itself causes disturbed health.Your son needs-
- B complex suppliment with lactibacilli
-high protein diet to recover from weakness.
-Avoiding exposure to known allwrgen/tappering dose of anti allergic medicine/detection of allergen &desensitization treatment... to avoid recurrance.Consult an ENT doctor for specific advise.
-Habit of hot saline gargles &vapor inhalation would help.
